Building a Campaign from the Ground Up: Day Four

Today was a short day for me, and I won't be in the office tomorrow, so mostly what I was doing was outreach, trying to identify and then contact the various College Democrats/Young Democrats at universities across the state, with mixed results.

So if you ARE, in fact, a College/Young Dem and are reading this and would like to have Mr. Neal come speak to your group, please get in touch! See the website,, for details.

While sitting at my nearly pristine desk this morning, I had a serious lightbulb moment, one that will no doubt make lots of you laugh, but that's OK. Read on, compatriots. :)

I know it's a long shot, but if any of you have, or know anyone who has, computers and/or printers that they'd consider donating to us, please let me know. Laptops or desktops, inkjets or laser printers. They need to be functional and at least reasonably current, and if they either have or can be equipped with a network card, so much the better.

It's weird; having a brother who worked on so many Presidential campaigns gave me a skewed view of how these things are equipped and financed, I think. Every morning, I walk into our HQ and expect the Tech Fairy to have arrived and deposited computers, printers, and the like for us. It dawned on me today that at this level, especially for a candidate who's not backed by the establishment, that that's just not going to happen, LOL (yes, I'm a bit slow on the uptake, sometimes).

So on the off-chance that anyone has something they're not using and would like to see go to a good cause, here's your chance. :) Email me at angrygrrlsrants at gmail . Thanks!

And thanks to everyone for reading so far, and for the kind words and encouragement.

I love your posts

They are a great public service and they're fun to read.

Vote Democratic! The ass you save may be your own.

I'm glad you're enjoying them. :)

While I'm running low on extra computers...

After tomorrow evenings meeting we should have a solid core of Cabarrus County Young Dems starting up that would be more than willing to have Jim come speak. Things are in somewhat of their infancy, but we've already received enthusiastic word from Larry Kissell's campaign to have him come speak at a meeting or event, as well. Once the ball gets rolling, I shall be in touch. Holler at me.

We'll be in touch. :)

Jim is out there working

meeting people and listening. He already visited my University and he has my full support. Best Wishes
